Grave punisment is a sentence that is often discussed by people who believe that death will come to every human being. For Muslims, the torture of the grave has actually become a doctrine that is difficult to move beyond their heads, because it is often a topic in the preaching of Islamic scholars.
However, for followers of Christian teachings, grave punisment is not discussed at all in the Bible, so it is thought that it will never happen.
Torture only occurs in hell for people who do not accept Jesus Christ as their savior. It can be read in the following gospels

and do not fear those who can kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul, fear especially Him who has the power to destroy both soul and body in hell.
2. Gospel of Luke 12:5
I will show you who you should fear. Fear Him who, after killing, has the power to cast into hell. Truly I say to you, fear Him.
If that's the case, then the thought arises that people who die are thought to be just sleeping to wait for the doomsday to come. So it is as if those who died were just transiting underground waiting to go to heaven because they believed in Jesus as the savior.

This is different among Muslims, grave punisment will happen to unbelievers, namely people who are arrogant and do not associate the existence of the creator Allah SWT with other creatures.
Strong evidence regarding the grave punisment found in several letters in the Koran and hadiths of the Prophet, one of which is

And we will surely inflict on them some of the punishment that is near, namely in the world in the form of various misfortunes before a greater punishment in the afterlife so that they return to the right path.
2. Muslim hadith number 292
As narrated by Ibn Abbas, the Messenger of Allah once passed two graves and then he said that these two occupants were really facing doom. And neither of them will be punished for committing major sins. One of them was for fighting against each other and the second was for not cleaning up his urine.
In a book at Tadzkirah written by Imam Qurtubi with his publisher Matktabah Darul Minhaj on page 355, a special grave torment for unbelievers (followers of the teachings of Christ, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc.) will occur by being hit by an angel with an iron rod until it lights up on fire every time. Sometimes they can't say Allah is my God. This punisment continues until the end of the world comes.
Even in several authentic hadiths, the Prophet said about the punishment in the grave for unbelievers, namely that they would be attacked by the tinnin snake. This snake was specially prepared by Allah SWT for unbelievers, where each snake has 7 heads.
Another type of grave punisment , the spirit will wander as told in the Koran surah Al-Hajj verse 31 Allah SWT says (Worship) Allah sincerely, and whoever associates anything with Allah, it will be as if he fell from the sky and was struck by a bird or blown away by the wind. to a faraway place. His spirit was then returned to his body.
