Every year on the celebration of the day of sacrifice, the topics out there that are usually discussed by apologists, both Muslims and non-Muslims, always question who actually became the sacrifice of abraham, whether Isaac or Ismail.
in Islamic circles, it is said that there are still two opinions that question this matter. Of course, this is talking about the figure who will be sacrificed by the prophet abraham alaihisalam in the very past.
This discussion is never complete if it is studied by one religion so it is necessary to sit together to discuss the Great event.
Quranic version
All adherents of the Abrahamic religions, namely the Middle Eastern religions, namely Judaism, Christianity and Islam, have a connection with what the prophet Ibrahim did, and that is the theological history contained in their respective holy books.
If we look at it globally, this story is not only written in the Quran but also in the Old Testament, especially the book of Genesis Meanwhile, if we read the Torah, which is believed by the Jews, this story is also in it.
However, there are differences between the three religions regarding the figure who was sacrificed. Muslims believe that the one who was sacrificed was Ishmael, but Christians and Jews say that Isaac was sacrificed. So which one is correct?

The story of Ibrahim's sacrifice is told in the Assafat chapter, namely the 37th chapter, verses 101, 102, 103 and so on.
So outside this text, there is no mention of the sacrifice event, which is then referred to as hapak legomena, an event that is only told once in the Qur'an. It is said that the prophet Ibrahim had a dream asking him to slaughter his son.

Based on the dream, he then conveyed the dream to his son and was immediately greeted by asking his father to carry out what Allah SWT had ordered through his dream. Regarding the location of the slaughter, the Qur'an does not mention in detail where the location is.
Who exactly is the name of Ibrahim's son who will be slaughtered, that's where the experts in interpretation provide an explanation. There are two interpretations of the name of Ibrahim's son, first, the scholars of interpretation say Ismail.
This refers to the interpretation of Sufyan Atauri who died in 160 Hijriah. While the second opinion says that Ishaq was slaughtered by referring to the interpretation of Muqatil Ibn Sulaiman who died in 150 Hijri.
Scholars who believe that Ishmael was sacrificed are Abdullah Ibn Umar, then Ali Bin Abi Thalib, Abu Thufail, Said bin Musayyib, Said bin Zubair and Hasan Albashri. As for scholars who believe that Ishaq was sacrificed, including Umar bin Khattab, Ka'ab al-Akbar. Who is Ka'ab al-Akbar, he was actually a Jew who later converted to Islam after the Prophet died.

From here, the experts in interpretation argue that there is a possibility that Umar bin Khattab's opinion that Ishaq was slaughtered came from Ka'ab al-Akbar's statement.
5 Examined further, Ka'ab al-Akbar narrated that when the slaughter took place, the location was in Saudi Arabia.
This is something strange, because the prophet abraham lived in Palestine or the Baitul Maqdis area, not in Saudi Arabia.
However, most Islamic scholars say that the one who was slaughtered was Ismail, because it refers to the Assafaat letter verse 112 where at that time Ishaq was just born.

Jewish version of the Torah
Followers of Judaism or Jews have different opinions with the Quranic version that the one who will be slaughtered from Abraham's son is Isaac.
Here there are two versions of information about the location of the slaughter, the first from the Jewish Torah group says the location is in Jerusalem which we later know as Mount Zion.
While for Samaritan Torah followers say the location is in Moriah which is located in northern Palestine, precisely in the Nablus area on Mount Gerizim. Bible version (Christian Bible) The incident related to the sacrifice of abraham or ibrahim, is told in the book of Genesis chapter 22 from the first to verse 23.
In that verse it is told that Abraham had an only son and God gave him the order to bring his only son to the land of Moriah to be sacrificed. In this context it is explained that Isaac who will be sacrificed is his father and Isaac himself does not know.
But there is something strange here, if it is mentioned in the book of Genesis chapter 22 that Isaac was an only child, then what about the book of Genesis chapter 16 verse 16 which tells the birth of Ishmael when Abraham was 86 years old.

The birth of Isaac is told in the book of Genesis chapter 21 verse 5, namely when Abraham was 100 years old. Here there is a contradiction in the verses in the book of Genesis, because it is said that Abraham only had an only child.
This is how a Bible is that if the writing process involves many people, there will always be inconsistencies in information. Regarding the history of the process of writing the Bible, I have reviewed it in full in the previous article
So in essence, the sacrifice of Abraham from the perspective of the three monotheistic religions has differences, if asked which is correct of the three, then it must first be tested whether the book is truly holy.
In the sense that all the information in it is not contradictory and is in accordance with historical facts
