Imam Mahdi is a mysterious figure who is much awaited by Muslims all over the world, because it was the Prophet himself who said the words as contained in several authentic hadiths.
For example, in the Tirmidhi hadith number 2230 "from Abdullah (Bin Mas'ud) the Messenger of Allah said that the world will not be destroyed (the end of the world) until a man from my descendants controls Arabia whose name is the same as mine"
So the appearance of Imam Mahdi is closely related to the arrival of the Day of Judgment, where this is one of the important characteristics before the events of the Day of Judgment actually occur.
It needs to be underlined here, Imam Mahdi is not a name but a nickname given to someone who will lead the Muslim community. His name will be the same as the name of the Prophet himself, namely Muhammad.

The nickname Imam Mahdi himself was clearly stated by the Messenger of Allah as contained in the authentic hadith of Abu Daud 11:375 and Al Hakim 4:557 that "Al Mahdi is my descendant, his forehead is wide and his nose is sharp. He filled the earth with honesty and justice before it was filled with injustice and persecution. . He will rule for seven years."
From these two hadiths, Rasulullah quite clearly describes the situation that occurred so that the Imam Mahdi had to appear.
Of course, it is nothing other than to lead Muslims in fighting various injustices and persecution that occur in Muslims.
Various questions arise in our minds, from which country will Imam Mahdi appear and what will be the signs of his arrival?
In particular, there is no authentic hadith that states exactly where Imam Mahdi came from.
However, if you follow the words of the Messenger of Allah that the Mahdi is from the Prophet's own lineage, then you can be sure that the Mahdi will emerge from Mecca or Medina.
Also regarding the signs of his arrival, I traced them from the two hadiths that were presented earlier, namely that there was tyranny and persecution, so we can analyze that the situation of the Muslim community at that time was really desperate, they were experiencing extraordinary persecution.
Is it possible that the genocide of the Israeli army in Palestine fulfills the conditions so that the Imam Mahdi will appear?
I don't want to speculate about this, but if you look closely at the life of the Palestinian people today it is truly sad. The brutal actions of the Israeli army were widely demonstrated and were truly barbaric and far from being humane for the Palestinian people.
In closing, only Allah SWT knows when Imam Mahdi will appear, but one thing is certain, the news of his arrival that was said by the Prophet Muhammad SAW, I am sure is not just a figment of imagination, but will really happen.
