HOW TO FIX DUPLICATE CONTENT BLOG

 duplicate content

Duplicate content is a congenital disease on a site that usually occurs unintentionally.

You will know about duplicate content problems when checked using the Ahref application.

There you will find hundreds of duplicate content scattered around that you can see. If the number of your blog posts is 200, then that is the amount of duplicate content that will appear and read as an error with a red mark.

Duplicated parts

There are a lot of things that are duplicated on the website and this really makes the health of the website plummet to its lowest point of 5%.

I experienced this myself on this blog and it made me not understand how it could happen and what the causes were. Returning to the main title of this article, the blog content is duplicated in several parts, namely

1. The main niche of the website

2. Website meta description

3. In the category / label section

Four article title These four parts of the website appear when checked using the Ahref application. The reason why duplicate content appears For almost 2 months I have been trying to fix this duplicate content problem using several trial and error methods.

I was a little worried at first about using trial knowledge because I knew exactly that if it was optimized excessively it would fall into the cage of Google's sandbox.

Signs of duplicate content if checked via Google search console will be marked M=1 and M=0. This means that the website content is duplicated on the mobile and desktop versions.

So why does duplicate content exist?

The main reason is because we ourselves did not install the canonical tag in the blog template. Even though we feel like we have installed the canonical script, we can be sure it is still wrong.

There are several suggestions from real bloggers on how to deal with duplicate content which I have tried but have no effect at all.

1. Put disallow=M1 or M0 in robot.txt

2. Place a disallow command in the blog location

3. Do not enable mobile version settings However, in fact, these three methods are in vain, the duplicate content does not disappear and is still on the Ahref page.

Impact of duplicate content

If there is an opinion that says just ignore the duplicate problem, the important thing is to diligently update articles, then I say that is a wrong opinion. In fact, another series of problems after duplicate content appears is

1. Many articles are not indexed by Google

2. Website health score decreases drastically

3. Blog traffic decreases

For this reason, once again I want to say, don't ignore this duplicate content problem because the consequences will be fatal.

Fix Duplicate Content

After carrying out a series of therapies to repair the duplicate content problem, only disappointment can be obtained.

Finally, the final step was taken by studying Google's own instructions and it turned out that the solution was simple.

What's the solution?

The main key is with Canonical that for the mobile and desktop versions the script is different, not the same.

Place these 2 scripts right under the words <head> or <title> in your website template, but first replace the url of Kuncia-kabela with your own url address. This method is very effective and can fix duplicate content problems that occur on a website or blog.
