COUNCIL OF NICEA 325 AD: HISTORY OF JESUS BECAME GOD

The Council of Nicea is considered by a small number of Christian followers to have never happened and for followers who understand and like to trace the history of Christianity, they admit that the Council of Nicea was never held.

What events actually happened at the Council of Nicea, why do they always get the spotlight?

History the Council of Nicea

Information about the event that the Council of Nicea was held is easy to trace in various scientific literature on Christian theology. Precisely from May 20 to June 19, 325 AD, the Council of Nicea was held by the great Roman ruler King Constantine.

According to Christian historical literature, there were 318 bishops at the Council of Nicea from various parts of the world. Please note, at that time there were already 5 centers of Christian teaching, namely Antioch, Jerusalem, Alexandria, Rome and Constantinople.

Well, each of these centers of Christian teaching teaches the teachings of the apostles, Antiochia uses the teachings of Peter, Jerusalem uses the teachings of James, Alexandria continues the teachings of Mark, Rome uses the teachings of Peter, finally Constantinople uses the teachings of Andrew.

So, when they met face to face when the Council of Nicea was held, everyone still adhered to the Christian teachings taught by the Apostle Paul before, namely that Jesus had the title of God.

Why was the Council of Nicea held?

Here's the story, in fact at that time there was a growing teaching from Arius not to recognize the teachings of Paul, Jesus, God. So in summary, there are two very sharp conflicting camps in the Alexandria congregation. The first camp believes that the son was begotten by his father in heaven, and the second camp, led by Arius, has the opposite opinion, saying that the son was only created by the father.

This is the issue that gave rise to the idea of King Constantine to hold the Council of Nicea to reconcile the sharp differences between the two opposing camps. King Constantine feared that if the dispute was allowed to drag on, it would disrupt order in his kingdom.

On this basis, the initiative was taken to gather the bishops in a forum entitled the Council of Nicea to discuss the points of disagreement in the Alexandria congregation. Long story short, King Constantine was more inclined to support the opinion of the bishops that the son was begotten by his father in heaven.

Arius's camp, which had opposing opinions, was finally punished by the king by being exiled along with his follower. At the end of the Council of Nicea, all participants present were required to sign a creed containing a statement of faith supporting the opinion that the son was begotten by a father in heaven, his divinity was equal to that of the father in heaven.

If you think about it, the time span of the Council of Nicea when Jesus died on the cross is quite more than 300 years. It is estimated that Jesus died in 30 AD or the 1st century, while the Council of Nicea was only implemented in the 3rd century.

So the point of debate between church figures is actually purely conjectural because the two opposing sides did not live at the same time as Jesus Christ. They received Christian teachings only through the schools founded by Paul and then were busy putting forward their own opinions about the existence of Jesus.

Paul himself was not a direct disciple of Jesus Christ, so where did he get Christian teachings from and then spread them? However, on the other hand, Paul's intention was to try to kill Jesus Christ.

Paul's intentions are clearly written in the Bible, Timothy 1:13 and Galatians 1:13, Paul admitted to persecuting and killing Jesus' disciples. In line with my thoughts, New Testament expert Robert Price wrote that the Jesus myth theory that Paul's letters are the contents of the New Testament is not strong enough evidence for the existence of Jesus.

The story of Jesus itself is strongly connected to Middle Eastern religious beliefs about gods who died and rose. Reporting from Wikipedia, a theologian from Germany named David Strauss (1808–1874) wrote an article entitled Das Leben Jesus.

He believes that some stories about Jesus are just myths that did not actually happen, but are the product of the Bible writer's imagination.

Codex sinaiticus early biblical sources

To trace the history of Christian teachings, one must rely on the Codex Sinaiticus document. Biblical experts consider the Sinaiticus document to be the oldest and most complete New Testament document from the 4th century AD.

Sadly, most of the contents of the Old Testament in the Codex Sinaticus document have disappeared, even though experts believe that the original version contained two agreements.

The codex sinaiticus document was first discovered by the German biblical scholar Lobegott Friedrich Konstantin Von Tischendorf on his third trip to the monastery of Saint Catherine, Mount Sinai, Egypt in 1859. Now the document is kept in the British British Library.

After examining the Christian document Codex Sinaticus, Friedrich revealed his findings regarding the various differences between the current version of the Bible with the original document.

For example, the Gospel of Mark in the Codex Sinaiticus document only stops at chapter 16:8, but in the modern version of the Bible it stops at chapter 16.20. This means there are an additional 12 verses of naughty writers at any one time.

After checking more carefully, it turns out that an additional 12 verses contain information about the death and resurrection of Jesus, which we all know is the foundation of the Christian faith.

Even regarding the verses from the Gospel of John from 7:53 to 8:11, 8:11 is not in the Codex Sinaiticus at all. Regarding the contents of the Gospel of Luke 9:55–56, the Gospel of Matthew 24:36 is very different in its words in the King James Version of the Bible and the Codex Sinaiticus.

There is also gospel Mark 15:28, originally it was not contained in the Codex Sinaiticus, but in today's Bible there are words. Who is the nosy writer adding this sentence?

So, is the Bible still worthy of being called the word of God?

For people with good common sense, of course they will be honest and admit that the Bible does not contain all of God's words. So the claim that Jesus is God is a big mistake, a complete lie.

Paul's lies about Jesus' teachings

It is well known that in history, Paul tried hard to kill Jesus Christ, but recently changed his direction of thinking and declared that he was a true follower of Jesus Christ.

It is said that he met Jesus of Nazareth on his way to the land of Damascus, that's where he repented. Next, he began to be busy going here and there in various cities teaching the teachings that Jesus is God. This was Paul's trick to kill Jesus by borrowing the hand of King Pilate.

Paul knew exactly that Pilate's belief system still liked to worship gods, so what he disseminated was certainly not the belief of the Roman king. As a result, Paul and Jesus were hunted down by Roman soldiers, and were captured and then executed.

Even though Paul had died, his teachings had already spread far and wide, in fact, day by day they received sympathy, including King Pilate himself, who finally became a follower of Paul's teachings.

Paul's teachings later aroused differences of opinion and were brought to the Council of Nicea in 325 AD. So during his missionary mission, Paul often touted the issue of Jesus, God, the Savior, atoning for human sins on the cross.

However, Paul's teachings are not the same as Jesus' teachings, as explained below

1. Jesus commanded circumcision, but Paul, in his teachings, circumcision was not important. Try checking Genesis 17:14, Galatians 5:6, 1 Corinthians 7:9.

2. Jesus taught that pork was unclean to eat (Leviticus 17: 12), Paul said the opposite was not unclean

3. Jesus taught to honor Saturday as a day of worship (Book of Deuteronomy, 5:12), Paul's teaching was even Sunday.

4. Jesus said that only God is worthy of worship (John 17:3, Mark 12:29, Matthew 4:8-10, Deuteronomy 6:4), Paul himself even said that Jesus was God, there are many more.

The point here is that Paul actually still had the intention to kill Jesus, but only in a subtle way, hiding behind the teaching of carrying the name of Jesus Christ.

Sometimes the objection uses verses from the Old Testament, which Christians do not recognize, "Oh, the Old Testament has been canceled since Jesus was crucified."

But how come the contents of the Bible are still being used now, they should have been removed until the new agreement was left behind. In closing, all living creatures will definitely die, whether they are Muslims or Christians, then they will be faced with either heaven or hell.

If the teachings of Islam are wrong, but instead the teachings of Christians are right, Muslims will still go to heaven and Christians will remain in hell. The reason is, only Muslims practice the teachings of Jesus Christ (circumcision, not drinking alcohol, not eating pork, etc.).

If the teachings of Muslims are correct, the path to heaven is clearly before our eyes, while Christians are headed to hell forever as the worst possible place to return to.

So, let's use the common sense God has given us, study carefully the true teachings of Jesus. Don't just swallow church doctrine whole, and firmly defend faith that has no biblical basis
